Drug Store News - FDA gives clearance to Eisai/Janssen to expand Aciphex indication

The Food and Drug Administration has approved expanded use for Aciphex (rabeprazole sodium), a protonpump inhibitor, as a treatment for daytime and nighttime heartburn and other symptoms associated with gastro-esophageal reflux disease. Aciphex was discovered and developed by Eisai Co. and is co-marketed in the United States by Eisai and Janssen Pharmaceutica.
