Chain Drug Review - Aciphex approved

The first seven-day treatment of H. pylori infection has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration. Aciphex, a proton pump inhibitor, is being copromoted by Eisai Go. (its Japanese-based developer) and Janssen Pharmaceutica Inc. (a unit of Johnson & Johnson). H. pylori, a type of stomach bacteria, is the most common cause of peptic ulcers.
